The Carolina Panthers bid to go undefeated said more about the Atlanta Falcons than it did about the Carolina Panthers. It said that the Falcons losing streak was borne of a run of bad coaching where the staff (and I like head coach Dan Quinn a lot) was inflexible in the game plans that were put together. What worked for them over their five and oh streak the next opponents studied and so it did not work for them for the season. The Falcons finally made adjustments and so they performed much better. Oakland Raiders NFL Stadium Games With Mayor Schaaf May Backfire Mark Davis and the Oakland Raiders are playing a risky game with Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, who has skillfully courted a favorable relationship with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and some NFL Owners. The City, County, and Coliseum JPA heads have worked with the Raiders to come up with a formula but Mark Davis has seemingly tried to move the ball on them and get public money that really doesn't have to be used for the Raiders stadium. It seems the Raiders are going to file for relocation. Whether the NFL accepts the application is another story. In my spreadsheet I was able to carve out $2.7 billion in revenue for the Raiders. So I know a deal can be done and moreover lets get this out of the way: don't be a fool and think the Raiders have $500 million in their pocket for a stadium. I believed that when it was at $400 million but then I started doing the math myself and realized he was talking about money the stadium plan itself could generate. That was when I realized how much of a game this is. The Raiders seem to think people so don't understand stadium finance that they will not see the truth and for the most part they are right. Davis is betting he has the votes to move but a friend of mine who is a high level executive told me that no one has any idea what is going to happen in Houston. Mark is playing a dangerous game. With Raiders fans. With Mayor Schaaf. With the NFL. If he fails he has to return to Oakland with his tail between his legs. Why be in that position? Stay tuned.

It's located at 5000 Kahala Avenue in Honolulu at the Kahala Hotel. The White House Press Pool was along for the visit and Gardiner Harris of The New York Times posted this hilarious account: Subject: Long dinner's journey into night. Pool #10. After dining for nearly 4.5 hours, POTUS, FLOTUS and friends have emerged. Motorcade is rolling. Hoku's Restaurant bills itself as one of the finest restaurants on the island, and "is heralded for its innovative fusion fare which melds Hawaiian, Asian, Mediterranean and European flavors," which covers about three-quarters of the globe. The dinner menu included local fish, Maine lobster, Denver bison and Texas wild boar. "Collared shirts and slacks for men and evening attire for women are preferred," the restaurant avers. "Shorts and tank-top style t-shirts are not allowed." There was a fake waterfall just outside the small ballroom that housed your pool. The ocean could be glimpsed with some effort. You will be pleased to know that after a hard day staring at the great vastness of the Pacific Ocean, your pool was well fed. There was chicken in black truffle sauce, mashed potatoes with sautéed mushrooms and onions, and an unusually good bread pudding. Your pooler fears the entire pool may have ingested gluten. Raiders Chargers Carson NFL LA Stadium Will Price Out Raider Nation
The proposed Raiders Chargers NFL LA Stadium will be too expensive for Raider Nation to afford. Personal Seat Licenses of $15,000 and luxury box average costs of $200,000 and north are levels Raider fans have not seen. Indeed considering the highest-in-America underemployment rate in Los Angeles, there is nothing to suggest that LA is able to support the pricing structure that has been established. It's once thing to be able to secure a $400 million naming rights agreement but teams only use part of that for stadium construction - ticket prices are adjusted to help pay for seat licenses. Plus, there's no indication a $700 million naming rights agreement deal can be done a second time around and look: no one has stepped up to do one as of now! Carson will be the most expensive stadium ever built in NFL History and for a region that has gone untested with respect to ticket prices and teams. If I were the Raiders and Chargers and the NFL, I would ask is the risk of losing my fan base worth it? Because that is what will happen. If it's approved. Stay tuned and read my report here:

I have seen it many times: a person who is a venture capitalist will use their title to bully startup founders before they have put a single dime into the company. That person will try to intimidate you, tell you your product is worthless, blast every aspect of your approach, and all in an effort to have you begging for their money. That person may even yell at you. That is where you must cut ties. Unless a person or company has a substantial amount invested in your firm, you can't allow such bad behavior. I can tell you from experience that such people will piss off your partners and staff and make life hell on Earth. If you let them. Don't be afraid to push them out. NFL Raiders Worth $3 Billion With Privately Financed Oakland Stadium
The Oakland Raiders are worth $3 billion with a new privately financed stadium in Oakland. That is more than they would be valued at in Carson, California. The Oakland Raiders have been working at once to stay in Oakland, but also to be part of a two-team NFL stadium planned for Carson, California. The basic assumption has been that Los Angeles is a more valuable region than the San Francisco Bay Area, and in particular Oakland and the East Bay Area. But a look at per capita gross metropolitan economic product, as well as a specific private stadium proposal in Oakland and at the Coliseum, reveals the Raiders would be worth $3 billion if they stayed in Oakland under the scenario you are about to see. The information is important, considering the NFL process for allowing the Raiders to leave Oakland, as stated in its franchise relocation policy. The Raiders are required to offer a “statement of reasons” for wanting to leave Oakland. It appears that one of those reasons would have to be listed as “desire to be in a region where it would be worth less than in Oakland.” That, coupled with any negative representations of Raider Nation in Oakland and in Northern California would be a public relations disaster. It's also important because the parties working on the NFL Carson project in LA don't have a fiscal picture that's that attractive to the Raiders – the team would be sharing a stadium with the San Diego Chargers, that and considering the rather substandard number of luxury suites proposed gives us a scenario where the Raiders down there in LA would only have half ownership of a $1.7 billion stadium and that would come to $850 million. Moreover, the Carson location is part of a metropolitan area that is ranked 17th in per capita gross metropolitan product, where San Francisco and San Jose are ranked number 3 and number 1, and Oakland - which was not part of the Bloomberg survey - sits in between them. That means the Bay Area has more spending money than the LA basin and by a wide margin. Looking At The Stadium Numbers Since the Raiders don't own the Oakland Coliseum, and are worth $1.45 billion, we can conservatively add that to the LA stadium value and come to this figure: $2.3 billion. By contrast, in Oakland, the stadium plan concept that Oakland Raiders Owner Mark Davis asked me to come up with adds up to significant gains for the Silver and Black. The stadium, as well as a stadium for the Oakland A's, would be paid for via an industrial development lease revenue bond issue structure. That means no public subsidy or bond default backing by the government. The new stadium itself is at $900 million in Oakland, so the Raiders are already $50 million ahead in Oakland. The Raiders wing of the hotel is part owned by the team, and so that portion comes in at about $80 million. That base of property pushes the Raiders up by $980 million – and that does not even take in expected revenue streams. Right there, when we add in the base of $1.45 billion, that is $2.43 billion. The overall expected 40 year revenue stream to the Raiders in Oakland is $2.8 billion and that is from the stadium, alone and does not include NFL revenue sources or team sponsorship or merchandise sales. But the spreadsheet number comes to $69 million annually. Add that to the $2.43 billion and we have $3.12 billion. So the question remains: if the Raiders are considering a move out of Oakland and to a situation where they are sharing a stadium, it's clear staying in Oakland and using some deal structure close to what I have come up with is better. It also damages any “statement of reasons” the Raiders would give in a relocation filing. In fact, it would make them look, well, you know. Stay tuned.

Bradley Kenneth Bartelt is the almost Arkansas State Univ Shooter who surrendered to police earlier today. His Facebook page under Bradley Bartelt of Jonesboro, Arkansas paints a picture he gave us of a cry for help, presenting a declining mental state - one that's all too often common for some middle aged white men today in America. So, while we focus on Muslims and Illegal Immigrants, the one group that is in need of real help and symphathy are the Bradley Kenneth Bartelt's of the World. A look at his Facebook page shows that in 2014 when the 47 year old started posting, his first entries were personal and about his kids and the outings he took with them. In September of last year he reported that his relationship was "Complicated" but then on August 21st of this year, he wrote that he was "separated". It was just around that time Bradley Kenneth Bartelt's Facebook postings turned political and in support of the use of guns and the confederate flag. His last posting yesterday and before the appearance at Arkansas State University, read this way: Need Assistance ! Have Federal Judge "John Goree" of Social Security Administration mis-stating, changing n falsifying medical records documented over 22 times!!! Have multiple Civil Rights Violations of Federal Workforce, Arkansas University and several Arkansas Dept. of, all resulting from 8/22/12 accident at A.S.U. Newport!! Have multiple Malpractice/Ethics/Misconduct of Medical and other Professionals also all documented!!! NO ONE will even read much less touch or help due to FEAR OF GOVERNMENTAL consequences!!! Told multiple professionals and people in State of Arkansas I AM SUICIDAL and now HOMICIDAL, which is what appears they want so problem goes away, thought I would DIE from injures or kill myself by now!!!
