It reads as follows: On August 28, 2017 at approximately 2:00pm a suspicious white male was reported in the area of Newhaven Drive off Redwine Road in Fayetteville, Georgia. The white male was observed on video trying to open the door of a home. At 4:30pm deputies responded to the 200 Block of Longmead Drive where a resident was reporting a burglary. Longmead is in the vicinity where the suspicious male was observed. A firearm and Sony PlayStation were stolen. Please help identify this person of interest. Used ShurTech TRex Tape Which Needs A Tab! I finally put ShurTech Brands TRex Tape to use, and immediately discovered one major problem: the tape is so strong that just getting a strip off its own roll is a challenge. It needs a tab! For some reason TRex Tape was made without a free tab so one could pull it off - let alone a kind of way to peel off tape over time. Just pulling the tape off the roll takes a major workout effort. So, until they work out that problem, TRex Tape is not as good as it can be.

Stormfront White Nationalist Website Shut Down By Webs.com After more than 20 years of propagating hate across the planet, Stormfront.com was brought down. Web.com stopped providing domain registration services to Stormfront, shutting down the site. The development comes 2 days after the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law’s Stop Hate Project issued a demand letter to Network Solutions and its parent company Web.com. Web.com was, in fact, providing the domain registration services necessary to spread hate across the country in violation of Web.com’s own policies. Web.com's Acceptable Use Policy prohibits people from using their services “to display bigotry, discrimination, racism or hatred.” The Lawyers' Committee's notice made clear that Stormfront was in clear violation of Web.com's Acceptable Use Policy. "Stormfront.com has been home to over 300,000 registered users who used the website to promote white supremacist violence across the world. In addition to the explicitly bigoted, racist, anti-Semitic, and Islamophobic discussions that take place on Stormfront, more than 100 murders can be traced back to Stormfront users who frequented the site to discuss their hateful ideologies. We will continue to use every tool in our arsenal to disrupt vehicles used to promote and incite racial violence across our country," said Kristen Clarke, President and Executive Director of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. “Especially in the wake of tragic events in Charlottesville and the spike in hate crimes across the country, Stormfront crossed the line of permissible speech and incited and promoted violence.” Web.com is to be recognized for choosing to adopt an Acceptable Use Policy that prohibits people from using their services “to display bigotry, discrimination, racism or hatred.” Web.com’s decision to terminate services to Stormfront.com demonstrates that the company would enforce its own policies in order to support its diverse customers and the online community as a whole. “At the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, we are proud to be a resource to individuals and community organizations across the country who have been combating hate for years. Stormfront.com fostered the kind of discrimination, division, and violence that seeks to undermine people coming together across different communities. While we recognize that bringing down one site won’t end these efforts, it will make it a little more difficult for white supremacists to sow hatred. Stormfront, was one of the first major hate sites on the Internet with more than 300,000 registered users. The site was launched by former Alabama Ku Klux Klan boss and white supremacist Don Black in 1995. The Stormfront website was used along with dailystormer.org to organize and encourage participation in the violent and fatal “Unite the Right” rally held in Charlottesville, Virginia. With Scott McKibben's Departure Oakland Coliseum JPA Must Install Coliseum Advisory Board In 2014, I noticed that a long-time friend was interested in the then-open position of Executive Director of the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Joint Powers Authority, commonly known as the Oakland Coliseum JPA. I sent him an email to reach out, he expressed the need for my advice and help, I blogged and lobbied for him to get hired. That was P. Scott McKibben: the now out-going boss of the Coliseum JPA. He's headed to the San Francisco West Bay and to run a new Levi's Stadium Authority. McKibben, in many ways, was the perfect tonic for a Coliseum JPA that was paralized by politics. Accustomed to appointing executive directors that did not have a sports business background, the Coliseum JPA allowed itself to become the arena for political battles between the City of Oakland and the County of Alameda. The talks around the new Oakland A's lease most notably reflected this problem, and that formed the foundation for a call by Alameda County Officials to sell its ownership of the sports facility to the City of Oakland, thus making it the sole owner. With McKibben's arrival came an elimination of that political problem. The reason was simple: Scott's experience running the Rose Bowl, the respect he had from Oakland Raiders and Oakland A's and Golden State Warriors executives and his professional approach. With Scott, City and County elected officials had a trusted person to hand off the matter of solving the facilties problems. I can't count the number of times Oakland and Alameda politicians expressed how impressed they were with Scott – two said to me he was a “breath of fresh air.” Scott's departure would seem to leave the Coliseum JPA rudderless, but there's a solution. Established in 1996 as the legal seat of review of the bonds for the refurbished Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, the JPA enabling resolution allows it to have up to ten commissioners, and a 20-member group called the Coliseum Advisory Board. The 1996 resolution reads “The Authority may establish a Coliseum Advisory Board of an even number of up to 20 members to provide the Authority advice and recommendations on any matter it deems appropriate relating to the operation of the Coliseum Complex. The City Council of The City and the Board of Supervisors of the County shall each appoint one-half of the member of the Coliseum Advisory Board. Each member of the advisory Board shall serve a two-year-term and may be reappointed.” The Coliseum Advisory Board is strictly advisory – no member has voting power or say over any activity at the Coliseum Complex. But, even with that, the City of Oakland and the County of Alameda have never, not even once, implemented the part of the Coliseum JPA that allows the Coliseum Advisory Board to exist. Why? From my experience with the Coliseum JPA, and that goes back to the beginning, my impression was that the City and the County didn't seem to want real sports experts at the table. To have tbem there would mean, at times, a wholesale rejection of whatever ideas or approaches the politicians wanted to adopt. The other reason the Coliseum Advisory Board is not in place, is that no executive director has asked for one, and in its history, I am one of the few in Oakland who has advocated for one to be created. My first go at that was back in 1998 during the time I worked for Mayor Harris. Time to catch up. The San Francisco Bay Area, and Oakland in particular, is rich with sports business legends who would jump at the chance to serve on the Coliseum Advisory Board. The only change in the legislation for it should be compensating the advisory board members for transportation and time costs – perhaps a $50 per person payment. Not large, but symbolic and helpful. Moreover, it allows the consideration and recruitment of people of various ages who's knoweldge is valuable but who's incomes may be low, for whatever reason. Another change should be such that each sports organization, Oakland A's, Oakland Raiders, and Golden State Warriors, be allowed to appoint one person on the Coliseum Advisory Board. If I were the next Executive Director of the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Joint Powers Authority, I would immediately push for the creation of a Coliseum Advisory Board. It allows for a chance to give fans a seat at the table and help improve what is still the greatest single sports facility in the World. Stay tuned.

FAA Survey Pushes Back Oakland Raiders Las Vegas NFL Stadium Plan Review The Clark County Board of Commissioners orginally planned to meet in the board chambers this morning, and review the Clark County Comprehensive Planning Staff's analysis and recommendations for the Oakland Raiders Las Vegas NFL Stadium Plan. But there was one snag: because of Clark County regulations tying any project approval to FAA approval where needed, the Clark County Board of Commissioners could not vote today. Clark County Board of Commissioners Chairperson and Nevada Governor Candidate Steve Sisolak tweeted that the meeting would be delayed three weeks, and “pending FAA approval”. But the Twitter message Commissioner Sisolak wrote impled that the FAA would have its study done in three weeks. Not so. The study comment period, which starts today, is for 37 days from this date. Which means it will done September 21st, and just about one week before the October deadline. That would seem to push back the November ground-breaking, unless the Raiders elect to move forward with it, just for public relations reasons. I directly contacted the FAA representative and I was told, at first, that Sisolak's apparent claim was “doubt it” and then wrote “We have not given the stadium proponent any indication when we will complete our review.” Then, the same person sent a copy of something that just appeared moments later in his email: the FAA survey document that's sent to what he called “interested parties” with respect to the Oakland Raiders Las Vegas NFL Stadium, and the FAA review request. The issue is the pass rush and how ineffective it is absent Khalil Mack. It's not that Mack's so good - but its his position and assignment in the Oakland Raiders Defense, and relative to how the other pass rushers are coached. They are not caused to keep their pads below the level of the offensive line blockers - that is constantly obvious in video study. Google Engineer's Diversity Manifesto An Immature Rant Revealing Tech's Real Problem I first saw the mention of a so-called viral manifesto written by some, as of this writing, unnamed 'Google engineer.” So I read it, and after the first two pages stopped reading it. Then I read the whole deal to confirm my initial impressions. Why? Because the person who wrote this is massively immature. It's all about him and his ideas. Nothing about expressing any interest in people. And that, as he stupidly claims that women are more interested in people rather than things. That dude obviously never had a good girlfriend; buying the right gift (a “thing”) is something he never had to do, or if he did, totally messed up on. But such a thought never enters his pea brain. Why? Because he's a legend in his own mind. It's easy to be in your own mind: there, the World is perfect and the air is clean. In your own mind, cars can pollute and yet the air is clear. In your own mind, you don't have to deal with anyone who doesn't look like you or think like you. Ah, such a perfect place, your own mind. That's the problem: he's too much in his own head and poorly socialized. Growing up means understanding how to work with and deal with all kinds of people. After a while, you get used to it – but you have to go through it first. Because that's the only way you grow up and realize that the real World is far different than the one in your head – and more fun too. I just had an exchange with someone on Twitter who I will not name. He tweeted this: “I learned about programming as a child even though I had literally no-one to talk to about it until a year later when I changed schools...Like, literally no-one understood what I was talking about, because it was a whole new language...But, not everything is done to get external validation. That's a very important truth about human motivation.” And yet, as I pointed out to him, people do matter to him. Otherwise, why go on social media to tell me about some programming language he wrote? He just assumed that my entire background was in (supposedly non-tech) marketing, and tweeted “Well, I understand that as someone in marketing you look at everything from that perspective, and yes ultimately everything is about people.” I did an LOL because when I was younger, I created my own version of “The Golden Mean” proportion system – then got pissed when my professor didn't see the value in it. I made a simulation of the business of the Oakland Athletics that was the cornerstone of my company Sports Business Simulations – and learned a very esoteric programming language to build it. Did that make my company get millions in VC backing? No. Sadly. No. And that's my point: as we grow up, we realize that the real deal is in how we relate to other people. We have to sell our ideas to other people – so folks are just as important to men as to women. In other words, what matters is our people skills. You can only develop them as you age and in the right environment. I submit that Google has formed the wrong environment and cultivated a place where immature behavior rules the roost. This is not just a male problem, but its a female problem too – not knowing how to work with or deal with men so that a comment that the ungentlemanly man perceives as little isn't blown out of proportion and becomes a sex scandal, played out on a blog or Twitter or Facebook. And that sex scandal is fueled by an internal and external bureaucrasy that can be summed up in three words: “Ohh! I'm tellin!”, like kids say. Tellin the boss. Telling the investors. Tellin law enforcement. Tellin bloggers. Tellin social media types. All of whom should be saying “Can't you handle this youself?” Answer: Get the two kids to talk as two adults and to talk to each other and the one adult male appologizes to the adult woman and we're all off creating the NEXT BIG THING – together. But in order to do that, Google, and other tech companies, have to make the kids start being adults – there's no apparent desire to do that, and so we get what we've got.
