Hussain Bad Uber Driver In Oakland

This driver who calls himself Hussain is a bad Uber Driver who should not be used. Hussain did not try to make it easy for me to locate him on the intersection of Thomas Berkeley and 20th Street in Oakland. When we finally talked on the phone I asked him to blow his horn - he did not. Moreover It took three requests before he finally did. Then when I got to the car I have him my first and last name. But then he recited just my first name as if it was someone different. Terrible person. I had to actual convince him it was me. So then he says "Was there a problem with me," and I said "Yes, it was" and I explained how terrible it was that he behaved the way he did. So then he said "Well then take someone else" and I said I was going to make a video about him and his bad service and here it is. He said he was going to cancel the order - then charged me five bucks. I want that money back ASAP. Hussain should not be an Uber driver.

Hyatt Regency SF: Shaving Head In Hotel Bathroom Gets Visit From Security

So. Here I am in San Francisco to order and pick up my business cards from the usual place: Fed Ex Kinkos. Since I had time before my radio show and the NFL Meeting, I planned to grab lunch at one of my favorite places, the lobby restaurant of the Hyatt Regency San Francisco. But, upon scratching my head, I realized that the all-too-quick morning shave resulted in stubble. Since I'm proud of my bald head, I had to do something about that. I went to Walgreens and purchased small shave cream and travel shaver and then went to the hotel and to the bathroom to take care of the offending hair - at least to me. So, as I'm shaving, there were people moving in and out, and a very nice man who was a Jehovah's Witness, and gave me a book, but it wasn't crowded - I was not in anyone's way. Then as I finished, a voice said "You gonna finish that up buddy." I saw behind me a guy with a menacing look. That was weird. "We don't allow shaving in here," he said. And as I talked, another security guy came in and there were three of them, but the last guy seemed really cool. I said "So, you all have something against my nubian head?" They laughed. What I wanted to know was who would go to security and file a complaint over something that women do in the women's bathroom - comb hair (which is like shaving for me) or put on makeup (didn't have any as I wasn't doing TV)? We have allowed the establishment of defacto courts of law where the plaintiffs are unseen, the defendents are generally black men, and the court is the security department of the company. That is a violation of the 6th Amendment of The Constitution, and yet, that and the 14th Amendment are made a mockery of on a daily basis. The security people at the Hyatt were just doing their jobs, I get that and this is not about them. This is about the society we have established and the need to make these private and public actions where people can just 'say anything' about someone else because that person has mental issues that may lead to racism or just plain mean behavior, to stop it. They must be made to file their name and ID - this way we can get a track record of people who abuse the system.

Steven Donziger Bribed Three Ecuador Judges In Chevron Case

Steven Donziger, the lead plaintiff's lawyer in the fraud-based case against Chevron in Ecuador, tries to make it sound like he is an innocent, country bumpkin attorney who is not completely up on the ways of Ecuadorian courts, telling the New York Times in 2013 that "at no time did I act with fraud or criminal intent". This is the same man who is probably doing back-flips over the rehashed old news that Alberto Guerra said he lied about taking bribes - well, considering that Guerra's family is still in Ecuador, and Guerra's on a list of Ecuadorians considered "traitors" the focus now must be on Ecuador President Rafael Correa and his employees. The only way for Guerra to consider telling a lie as he did to the tribunal was for his family to have been threatened as well as himself. That fact now must have us revisit Steven Donziger's practice of influncing judges in Ecuador. I wrote this in 2013: "Judge Alberto Guerra now becomes the third judge – yes, THIRD JUDGE – tied to this case who has either admitted or been accused of taking bribes from the legal team managed by Mr. Donziger. The total list of bent Ecuador judges involved in the Chevron Ecuador case: Judge Juan Nunez, Judge Nicholas Zambrano, and now Judge Alberto Guerra." Faced with questions regarding their taking of bribes, all have ran for cover unless saying so was of a help to them - no surprise there. But the video of Nunez saying it would take $3 million for him to deliver a judgement against Chevron still stands as the most damaging element in this case. You can see the full 28 minute video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St2BM7Sxde4 Judge Nunez is the one who allegedly paid Alberto Guerra to give a judgement against Chevron in the Ecuador case. Donziger has repeatedly said that corruption is the birthright of Ecuador Judges. He says it here and I am going to use HIS version of the video because Steven says the Chevron version was edited - thing is, the full video does not make him look better at all. Steven said that they were going to use methods to counter their corruption, which given what he said could only be corrupt! Talk about screwing yourself! Look: http://ift.tt/1PVbEXt Steven Donziger has a track record of manipulating people for his own gain in the Chevron Ecuador case. Take this information from the New York Times: "The lawyer Joseph Kohn, formerly a major financier of the suit, testified that Mr. Donziger had withheld information from him about the suspected ghostwriting of the report. “Mr. Donziger lied to me,” Mr. Kohn said. Cross-examining his former associate, Mr. Donziger suggested Mr. Kohn knew nothing about Ecuadorean legal customs, which allowed for the plaintiffs’ collaboration with a court expert. But Jeffrey Shinder, a lawyer who had briefly been retained by Mr. Donziger in 2010, said he was shocked to learn from a consultant working on the case that the consultant had written significant sections of the Cabrera report. Mr. Shinder withdrew from the case and the consultant, Douglas Beltman, has since renounced his work." The point of the RICO trial was to show that Steven Donziger had been the mastermind of a criminal effort to achieve a billion dollar judgement against Chevron. Judge Lewis Kaplan was right in ruling against Steven Donziger and nothing has happened to change that fact. Stay tuned.

Warriors New Arena SF Delayed By UCSF Approval Snag

Mission Bay Alliance Press Release: Mission Bay Alliance Demands Release of Emergency Access Deal Struck Between UCSF and Warriors after City, UCSF Stonewall Public Access City officials claim they do not have a copy of the UCSF-Warriors’ agreement announced last week in a City-issued Press Release while UCSF Remains Unresponsive “What are the City, the Warriors and UCSF trying to hide?” San Francisco -- Opponents of the proposed 18,500-seat Golden State Warriors arena and entertainment center in Mission Bay are demanding the release of the public safety “agreement” struck between the Warriors and UCSF last week after City of San Francisco officials and UCSF have refused to produce any documentation beyond a City-issued press release. In the joint announcement of UCSF’s project endorsement, UCSF Chancellor Sam Hawgood hailed the “agreements” between UCSF, the Warriors and the City as providing necessary safeguards by creating a dedicated transportation fund and a “special circumstances cap” limiting dual events to protect access to emergency services. UCSF’s emergency room sits only 1,000 feet from the proposed stadium. Yet few details about what this agreement actually entailed emerged in the City’s one-page press release. And while a Mission Bay Transportation Improvement Ordinance was introduced at the Board of Supervisors meeting and subsequently made available, both the City and UCSF have refused to provide the agreement between UCSF and the Warriors. The Mission Bay Alliance has formally requested the agreement as a public record, but the City has claimed it does not have a copy. UCSF has yet to respond to a request for the document. “What are the City, UCSF and the Warriors trying to hide by denying public review of an agreement that will impact the health and safety of thousands of UCSF patients and families?” said Sam Singer, a spokesman for the Mission Bay Alliance. “We demand full disclosure of this so-called agreement so that the public can be fully informed of a package that we believe to be no more than a smoke and mirrors’ PR stunt.” The Mission Bay Alliance, a coalition of UCSF stakeholders, employees, healthcare workers and neighbors opposing the Mission Bay arena, is further challenging the media to demand release of these documents. The agreements were broadly and often favorably reported when announced last week – it appears even without any review beyond the City’s released statements. “We’re calling on the hardworking men and women of the news media to dig beneath the released rhetoric and challenge UCSF, the City and the Warriors to provide some answers,” Singer said. “The residents of the City of San Francisco deserve to know what’s really going on beneath the spin and behind closed doors.” This week, the Columbia Journalism Review reported that a San Francisco Chronicle reporter was suspended after it was discovered that he’d published a Warriors’ press release online as his own reporting. Once it came to the Chronicle’s attention, the story was taken down and rewritten and Editor in Chief Audrey Cooper issued an apology and announced an investigation. “This arena project is too massive and too disastrous for it to slip through the cracks without appropriate and vital public scrutiny,” Singer said. About the Mission Bay Alliance The Mission Bay Alliance is a coalition of UCSF stakeholders, donors, faculty, physicians and the working men and women of San Francisco who are concerned about the impact of the proposed Golden State Warriors’ stadium on the future of the vibrant community and medical campus at Mission Bay. The Alliance fully supports the Warriors’ team and congratulates its tremendous championship win. However, the Alliance believes the proposed arena and entertainment center is ill-conceived for this site. For more information about the Mission Bay Alliance, visit http://ift.tt/1cuhvm2.

Raiders Meet With Sun Cal, City Of Oakland, On Coliseum City

Raiders' Meet With SunCal, City of Oakland, Councilmember Larry Reid, On Coliseum City On Monday, Columbus Day of 2015 and this week, Oakland District 7 Councilmember Larry Reid , and Oakland City Administrator Claudia Cappio met for an hour-and-a-half in the office of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, and with Oakland Raiders President Marc Badain, Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Joint Powers Authority Executive Director Scott McKibben, and Bruce Elieff and Pat Keliher, both representing Sun Cal. Thus, it is Sun Cal Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Elieff that's one of the rumored billionaire investors the Raiders are talking to, but he's not into moving the team to Los Angeles. This is about Coliseum City in Oakland – something Sun Cal has been involved in for a few months now. The general objective of that meeting was to determine next steps in the City's proposal to the Raideers to come up with a new Coliseum City plan, although no specifics were finalized, and the Oakland A's were not in the room. My sources say that the feeling now is the Raiders will not get the 24 NFL Owner votes required to approve a relocation request, although that idea will not stop the Silver and Black from filing for one. Moreover, the Raiders are expected to sign an extension of their current lease at the Coliseum, and perhaps even for not one, but two years. The Carson LA NFL Stadium deal is not expected to work out in the favor of the Raiders. From this, it's clear the Raiders are trying to work out a way to get a stadium deal done in Oakland. It's also clear that the Coliseum City plan still has a housing component – one that I think should be removed and is still making this a land deal more than a stadium deal. But it's also evident, from my point of view, that the lack of the existence of a focused task force, and a good competition between capable development groups, is still the case. Indeed, the overall strategy of the City of Oakland's side of the Oakland / Alameda County coin is to simply just wait and let events in Los Angeles play out. That's not the say individual parties aren't working on this, but there's no real coordination. Want proof? Look no further than the fact that appropriate members of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors were not at the Columbus Day meeting at Mayor Schaaf's office. And they're not happy about it. MORE:

Oakland A's Can Privately Finance New Stadium; Raiders, Coliseum JPA Meet Developer

The Oakland A's, in the form of John Fisher, the Majority Owner of the Athletics Organization, met with Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty last Wednesday, and according to a friend of mine who was close to the conversation, said to Haggerty that "We don't need your money," or words to that effect. But the gist is that the Oakland Atlhletics told Haggerty, the President of The Alameda County Board of Supervisors, and a member of the Oakland-Alameda County Joint Powers Authority, that the A's have a plan in place to privately finance a new stadium at the Oakland Coliseum. That should come as good news to Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, who wanted to escape this new stadium problem without spending a dime of public money and yet retaining at least the Raiders and the Atlhletics, yet was under the impression that it would take a public subsidy s recently as the last week of September. (Even though I proved that wasn't the case via the spreadsheet proposal I created for a 'Coliseum City Reboot' with A's and Raiders stadiums and as per Raiders Owner Mark Davis' request, and argued with her as I asserted she was misinformed.) While I wasn't able to reach Scott to have him confirm this on the record, I know my source is 100 percent correct. I also learned that Alameda County has still not received a "good proposal" (as my source put it) from the City of Oakland regarding the proposed sale of the County's share of the Coliseum. So, as of this writing, the parties, City, County, JPA, are proceeding in their normal way - as before. They're also waiting for the Raiders to give them a proposal of their own for a new stadium. Right now, the Silver and Black are in limbo. Regardless of how "crazy" Oakland Raiders President Mark Badain thinks my news that the Raiders were talking to Magic Johnson, the fact is the Raiders have held conversations with persons who could step in as the investor the NFL sorely wants it to have. (And to that end, the Oakland Alameda County Joint Powers Authority and the Raiders held a meeting with a potential developer / investor on Columbus Day. I don't know the names of the developer / investors as of this writing.) MORE ...http://ift.tt/1QmLgDQ
