Paxton Lynch Pro Day Pushes NFL Draft 2016 Rank To High 1st Round Paxton Lynch had a terrific pro day at Memphis, and thanks to the NFL Network telecast, put that college's football program on the national map, yet again. Lynch threw 76 passes, missed five, and the remaining ones were more often than not things of beauty. Paxton Lynch not only throws a powerful ball, his passes are among the nicest I've ever seen. He reminds me a lot of Troy Aikman coming out of UCLA to The Dallas Cowboys. But what really impressed me with Lynch is how he handled the distractions around him: the camera guy on the field before the two throws he missed (roll-out, corner pattern, left and right), the 24-mph wind gusts, and the ambulance siren that seemed like it would go on forever. All of that, plus the eyes of the NFL's top offensive coaches and minds, and the media, were what he had to deal with. Paxton handled it al really well – something to consider in evaluating a quarterback. I now believe that Paxton Lynch is every bit as good as Jared Goff and Carson Wentz – it's just a matter of time before he proves it in the NFL.
