FAA Says Oakland Raiders Las Vegas NFL Stadium Review Process Not Done The Federal Aviation Administration's media relations office has informed me that the review process for the planned Oakland Raiders Las Vegas NFL Stadium is not done. What I was told is this: "The team (Oakland Raiders) filed for FAA review of their project in June. We began our review at that time. We look at whether a project could pose a hazard to aircraft or to navigation aids. There is no specific timetable for a review. It depends on whether we identify any issues and, if so, how long it takes to resolve them. We also review proposed crane locations and heights." And this: "You would be correct in saying that. As for your second question: We conduct our reviews as quickly as we can. But our top priority is determining whether a proposed project could pose a hazard to aircraft or navigation aids and, if so, whether and how the hazard can be mitigated. We do not sacrifice accuracy and thoroughness for speed."

MEET STARFLEET “STAR TREK: DISCOVERY” PANEL, SATURDAY, JULY 22 2:30PM Over 50 years ago, the world was first introduced to what would quickly become a cultural phenomenon. It was a television series that inspired developments in science and technology, broke social barriers, and transported viewers around the globe to new adventures and uncharted frontiers. This fall, STAR TREK: DISCOVERY follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, while learning that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. Cast members scheduled to appear include Sonequa Martin-Green, Jason Isaacs, Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Mary Wiseman, Anthony Rapp, and James Frain alongside executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Gretchen J. Berg, Aaron Harberts, Heather Kadin and Akiva Goldsman. The panel will be moderated by series guest star Rainn Wilson, who will appear as “Harry Mudd,” the charismatic conman and intergalactic criminal that was first introduced in the original “Star Trek” television series. The newest edition of the Star Trek franchise will premiere in the U.S. on CBS All Access Sunday, Sept. 24, following a broadcast premiere on the CBS Television Network. Saturday, July 22nd; Ballroom 20, 2:30PM. STAR TREK: DISCOVERY will follow the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. The series will feature a new ship and new characters while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers. The series will premiere on the CBS Television Network Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 with all subsequent episodes available on CBS All Access, the Network’s digital subscription video on demand and live streaming service, and will be distributed concurrently by CBS Studios International on Netflix in 188 countries and in Canada on Bell Media’s Space channel and OTT service CraveTV. STAR TREK: DISCOVERY is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Alex Kurtzman’s Secret Hideout, Bryan Fuller’s Living Dead Guy Productions and Roddenberry Entertainment.
